Steuben grapes are a traditional New Zealand table grape variety, grown in very small quantities in Gisborne.
Most table grapes sold in New Zealand supermarkets are imported and seedless, but Steuben grapes are different. They contain small seeds and are loved for their full, classic grape flavour.
For many people, they bring back memories of the grapes they grew up eating — juicy, sweet and bursting with real grape taste.
Because they are grown locally and harvested in small volumes, the season is short and limited each year.
